Alana Vaughn joined AmerisourceBergen in June 2015 as a business coach for Innovation Cancer. In this role, she works closely with oncology practices (practice administrators, nursing staff and business staff) and the Innovation Cancer team to ensure practices are operating at maximum efficiency through the utilization of best-in-class technology solutions, data analysis and process reviews.

Prior to joining AmerisourceBergen, Alana was employed by Louisiana Hematology Oncology Associates as Practice Administrator. She was strategically involved in the day-to-day operations, overseeing patient access/financial counseling, patient scheduling, drug purchasing and inventory management, and acting as a liaison between practice and hospital administration and vendors/partners. In addition, she oversaw the development and implementation of an array of projects, including QOPI certification, Meaningful Use, Dispensary, oral chemotherapy compliance program, Electronic Medical Record, multiple interfaces, workflow analysis and opening of satellite offices.

Alana has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, with 15 of them directly in medical oncology. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University.
