Peter Kounelis serves as Vice President of Elevate Provider Network for AmerisourceBergen where he leads network strategies and serves as a liaison to the industry. He holds responsibility for developing and leading PBA Services for the organization and oversees the provider network advisory board.

Mr. Kounelis has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry - particularly on the PBM side of the business. He has held a number of positions with increasing responsibility with Walgreens Health Initiatives (now Catamaran), MedImpact and AdvancePCS (now Caremark). He has extensive experience in launching clinical programs, consultative analytics services, financial modeling and contracting. Mr. Kounelis has additional experience in developing and commercializing medication adherence programs and pharmacy informatics solutions, for both managed care and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Mr. Kounelis earned his pharmacy degree at the Purdue University School of Pharmacy and his MBA at the Purdue University Krannert Graduate Business School of Management.
