Richard Tremonte

EVP & President of U.S. Pharmaceuticals | Cencora
Rich Tremonte is Executive Vice President and President of U.S. Pharmaceuticals & Animal Health for Cencora, Inc. As a member of the enterprise leadership team, Rich is focused on driving innovative solutions, improving efficiency within our U.S. businesses, and building enduring relationships with our customers. 

As President of Cencora’s U.S. customer base, Rich is responsible for leading health systems and government entities, national and regional chain pharmacies, independent retail and long-term care pharmacies, and specialty physician practices. He also oversees Cencora’s corporate partnerships team, U.S. supply chain operations, and global animal health business. 

Since joining the company in 2013, Rich has held various positions within Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen), leading generic pharmaceuticals, strategic global sourcing, community and specialty pharmacy, customer operations, and animal health. Previously, Rich held leadership roles at Sandoz, Inc. (Novartis) and Teva Pharmaceuticals in various sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain positions. Rich has more than 24 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, making him deeply knowledgeable about the industry and the needs of the customer. 

Rich serves as a board member for the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) where he is Chair of the Nominating and Board Development Committee, and he is on Healthcare Distribution Alliance’s (HDA) board of directors and serves on their Executive Committee. Rich is also active within Cencora, serving on the Cencora Impact Foundation board, Cencora Global ESG Impact Council, and the DEI Global Council.  

He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in business logistics and supply chain. He achieved his MBA at Temple University and a post-MBA certificate in Basic Pharmaceutical Development from the Temple School of Pharmacy. Rich is also a graduate of Wharton’s Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the University of Pennsylvania.
